I Relay to celebrate survival. In this, my 10th year cancer free I have been given a new role.I Relay as a survivor and a caregiver and I no longer wonder "why me?".
I Relay in hope that one day there will be a cure and we won't have to relay any more.
I Relay because I can, for those who cannot.
Relay should not be a time of sadness. It should be a celebration of life, even if we are relaying for someone who is no longer with us. Relay is about a spirit shared by many. It is about hope, for ALL seasons.
"Just when you think all your strength is gone, hope comes along and kicks your butt to remind you that it isn't."
